The team behind our story at Britton's Bites food truck.

The story of a family that built something from scratch.

Built From A Horse Trailer

It started in July 2023 with an old horse trailer and a lot of ambition. Nathan and Tracey bought it with a clear vision: a proper mobile food van, built right, serving food worth queuing for.

The fit-out took months. Local tradespeople in Earls Colne did the welding, the painting, the gas fittings, the electrics, the stainless steel work. It was a community project before it ever served a single burger.

The launch came at the Earls Colne village Christmas evening in December 2023. From there, regular trading started in February 2024. By summer, Nathan had made the decision to leave his career as a freelance chef and go all in.

Now it's a proper family operation. Nathan runs the kitchen. Tracey handles bookings, marketing, and keeps everything running. Phil does the towing and keeps the van on the road. Family and friends step in for bigger events.

The food has always been the same: locally sourced meat from Buntings Butchers in Coggeshall, homemade burger sauce, relish, and seasonings, everything cooked fresh to order. No shortcuts, no compromise.

The reviews say "best burgers we've ever had." We think that's because we actually care.
